Our Doctors

Jeff Burg, D.D.S., Kurt Christensen, D.D.S., Don Boren, D.D.S., and Dr. Segura, D.D.S. are accredited dentists. Dr. Burg and Dr. Segura are dental specialists, and have completed an advanced post-doctoral program, accredited by the American Dental Association, of at least two academic years in the specialty of pediatric dentistry.

Drs. Burg, Christensen, Boren and Segura are dedicated to creating outstanding smiles for their patients, using the latest technology available.

Our Team

Our experienced staff is especially interested in making all our patients feel right at home! We put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment. Our staff is trained and skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Each member of our treatment team is a registered assistant, and our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the latest in technological advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.


Dr. Burg graduated from the University of Washington and served his residency at University of Texas at Houston and also served his Pediatric Dentistry residency there. He has been in practice since 2003 and is a member of the UNO Study Club with members in Utah, Nevada and Oregon. He belongs to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association and the Utah Dental Association. Dr. Burg is married with four children. He enjoys the Utah Jazz, golf and movies.

A member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, Dr. Boren has been in practice since 2001. At Creighton University, he made the Dean’s List and graduated Magna Cum Laude. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Utah Dental Association and the Salt Lake Dental District. Married with four chilren, he is active in his community and serves as an assistant Scoutmaster in Boy scouts. He enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his kids.

Dr Smyth is a board certified pediatric dentist . He graduated from BYU and Northwestern University Dental School. He completed a two-year residency at the Primary Children’s Center. Past dental activities include, enjoying friends and associates during 35 years of private practice, the United States Navy Dental Corps, Salt Lake District Dental Society Board of Directors, Utah Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Past President, University of Utah Assistant Clinical Professor, Primary Children’s Medical Center Instructor in Pediatric Dentistry, Shriner’s Inter-mountain Hospital Consulting Staff, and Tuba City Regional (Navajo-Hopi) Hospital. He is a life member of the American Dental Association and The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He is married with five children and three grandchildren. Hobbies include, photography and hiking.

Dr Nielson graduated from the University of Southern California’s Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry in 2011. At USC, Dr Nielson was an undergraduate instructor in the dental morphology course, and was frequently on the Dean’s list. Patients at the USC Dental Clinic often asked their dentist to use the nerve signal blocking injection technique that Dr Nielson had employed on them previously. Dr Nielson worked extensively with children through the USC mobile dental clinic program in rural central California and enjoys working with young people. He is an active member of the American Dental Association and a former member of the California Dental Association. A Utah native, Dr Nielson enjoys skiing, hockey, waterskiing and off-road unicycling.

Dr. Segura attended BYU to earn his bachelors degree and went on Loma Linda University for dental school, earning his DDS degree. He continued his education at Loma Linda University earning his Masters Degree in Dentistry while completing his residency in pediatric dentistry. Dr. Segura is active in continuing education in dentistry in order to provide the best treatment possible for his patients. He belongs to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry as well as the ADA and UDA. His hobbies include cycling and spending time with his wife and five children.

Dr. Hibler graduated from Oklahoma University College of Dentistry and completed her pediatric residency at Primary Children’s Medical Center in Salt Lake City. Dr. Hibler is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist with over 20 years of practice experience. She currently serves as a consultant for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Prior to returning to Park City, Dr. Hibler developed, implemented, and directed a postgraduate program in pediatric dentistry at UNLV School of Dental Medicine. She is married with three grown daughters and enjoys skiing, hiking, and traveling.

In practice since 1999, Dr. Christensen is a graduate of the University of Washington. He has been active in several study clubs, including UNO and Conscious Sedation in Children. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Utah Dental Association. He is married with four children. His hobbies include coaching, golf, tennis, boating and snowboarding.

Dr. Benjamin Menlove earned his degree at Ohio State. In 2009 and 2010 he was recognized as one of ‘America’s Top Dentists’ by Consumers’ Research Council of America. He was born and raised in Utah and belongs to the ADA and UDA Dental Associations. In his spare time, he loves spending time with his family, biking and golfing.

Dr. Knudson graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University and has been a member of the UDA for 4 years. Previous to this, he was a member of ADA for 8 years. Dr. Darin Knudson was born and raised in our lovely state of Utah. He is passionate about pediatric dentistry because it allows him to act like a kid most days! He’s married with three children and loves anything that deals with sports and outdoor activity. He enjoys running and ran his first marathon in 2010.

Dr. Slater graduated from Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry with a Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree in 1997.
As a senior dental student, Dr. Slater was invited to participate in two of the schools honors courses, which recognized the top students performances in the clinic. (Pediatrics was one of these performances recognized.)
After dental school, Dr. Slater studied under, and worked for a well known pediatric dentist in Phoenix, Arizona. Two years as a resident, and six years as an employee.
Dr. Slater was born and raised in American Fork, Utah. Dr. Slater and his wife met in high school, they have been blessed with two beautiful daughters. Dr. Slater attended BYU before moving his wife, and oldest daughter to Portland, Oregon for dental school.
Dr. Slater is a member of the American Dental Association, the Utah Dental Association, and is actively involved in continuing education courses.
Dr. Slater’s favorite place to be in this whole world is Disneyland. He says he loved being a kid, and never wanted to “grow up”. That is why he loves treating children as a dentist, he is constantly reminded he is still a kid at heart. Dr. Slater says children remind him to “lighten up,” and to not take life so seriously. Dr. Slater loves all sports, loves to spend time outdoors, and loves to snow ski. He also loves to spend time with his wife, and two daughters.
